Does Tinubu need to hire a communicator?

Image
Remember this guy from Anikulapo? Does Tinubu need to hire his own so he stops playing into the hands of his enemies? LMAO. (Photo credit: NETFLIX) I am very close to the realization that things won’t always go our way and, what makes us tick most times is the ability to live with reality and fashion a way out of odds. You can have it going great in your career and health will put you in check; you can be on top of your game on one front and something as basic as friendship will let you down at pivotal points, it has happened to the best of people is all I can tell you… Live with it. I’m not even in a good place to deal right now and again, it’s nothing. Whatever we can milk from life at each point, we will like we’re feasting on oranges. All will be well is the song I want to start singing, maybe not this minute but eventually, all will be well. By the way, I stumbled on a video of you people’s man and his howler LOL. I am going to be quick to let you know it is not new an...

Who gave the order?

Image
It's hard to forget, I hope the souls we lost rest in peace and pray their blood is eventually worth the  price. (Photo credit: Hannah's Status) There are days I don’t have to mull over topics, and today is one of such day. 20 th October 2020 is significant for lots of reasons – depending on the side of the divide you are and one that will continue to have consequences on all parties, I’ll explain. Personally, and from objective people in the know in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu has performed enough to earn a second term but if you go out there today to ask for his misdeeds, the majority of the feedback would be on his role on EndSars, that is quite unfair, but do you blame the aggrieved? I have no evidence, but I am not sure Tinubu had any hand in whatever happened that night at the Lekki tollgate; he wasn’t the president and he’s not even a serving officer so, how could he have been linked to the alleged massacre? Well, he is also paying for that night, he may not b...

Church rat and poisoned holy communion... Tinubu was right

Image
Tinubu's response to climate change question at a recent event has to be the best thing he's done since giving Lagos Fashola but it's laughable to see people drag him for it. (Photo credit: LASG) Everything is fair in love and war. I can understand why people will say anything they like about someone they don’t like and when it involves politics, I try to read little into what people throw around especially when it’s clear they won’t keep it on issues. My stand on Tinubu is clear, I will not vote for him. I don’t owe anyone any explanations, I only have one vote and by the special grace of God and the atileyin of Mohammed, I will exercise my civic rights and vote for the candidate of my choice. So help me God and INEC (because my PVC is still with them). Regarding the issues of Monday, 17 th October where Tinubu answered questions on climate change, I watched the videos many times to be sure there’s nothing I missed out. I again must say this, you don’t have to comme...

Tinubu's comic relief... These people don't rate us

Image
What was Tinubu's comic relief for? Was that really needed? (Photo credit: Sahara Reporter) Err, I was going to write about Laycon of Big Brother Naija season 5 (Lockdown season) today before but before it becomes stale, let me ask followers of Bola Ahmed Tinubu why their team released the ill-advised video of their Cristiano Ronaldo on a fitness bike for the world to shey yeye him? Is it ment? What is the need to mislead the general public on a video that you don’t need forensic tests to know it’s almost as old as their candidate? Was that done to show Nigerians their candidate is fit? Why not look for something else to sell? He is not fit, forget that feature, can you come up with something else? Who do us like this sef? Just yesterday, I was complaining about the rate at which many of our top brains are leaving the shores of Nigeria and we can’t do jack about it; isn’t it obvious that we can’t get a solution at the next election? Which of the three can actually deliver sol...

BJ's trip and the tale of the sick, the thief and the confused

Image
The best brains are leaving the country and you can't blame them, even the next election doesn't offer much hope. (Photo credit: Ramsey's iPhone) As I pen this, my kid brother is in flight to no man’s land and he’s not the only one. We are now reduced to phone calls, DMs and emails – that is what we get for being Nigerians, it is what it is… I am worried for Nigeria. The best brains are leaving and we can’t do anything about it; there’s no help in sight with the sick, the thief and the confused squaring up at the next elections. Lol, I just got a message from another friend that has now relocated to Canada… Con be like say na only me remain LOL. Everyone is shouting, “get your PVC and vote”, social media influencers (those that are not or not yet on the payroll of the big two) are screaming “get your PVC and vote” and in my heart of heart I am asking: for who? For the sick? The thief or the confused? I have tagged Tinubu the sick and that is self-explanatory. Just t...

What is wrong with Peter Obi's supporters?

Image
Peter Obi is qualified to contest at the polls as a presidential candidate but what is wrong with his aggressive and misinformed fans? (Photo credit: Punch) The largest percentage of those that read my post of yesterday were more interested in the story of the Jezebel of Magodo instead of the part where I had a difficult day at work; that tells you a lot about what interests people and trust me, I totally understand and it’s fine. Well, I have decided to delay the gist about the woman till tomorrow or Friday. I remember I said “sometime this week”, I didn’t promise today so no fuss. I saw something disturbing this morning and would rather discuss it today. A friend shared a chat with someone he met at a book launch about two weeks ago, they were trying to catch up and boom! Peter Obi’s name came up; this my friend would rather vote Tinubu – he has the right to his vote even though I don’t agree with him – but this lady on the other side rained curses on him. This isn’t the ...

Tinubu's flawless victory evokes 2019 memories...

Image
Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the APC presidential primaries, leaving us with another odd choices... Where do we go from here? (Photo credit: Punch) Once again, like we had at the last election and how it has always been with our political story, we’re faced with two choices; one is outright death and the other is life incarceration in sickness and pains… I present to you our fate at the next elections – Tinubu vs Atiku! First, I’d like to throw my two hands in the air in acceptance of my error of judgment. Up till last night, I thought Tinubu would announce his decision to step down for Osinbajo; I was wrong and Tinubu has emerged as the APC candidate for the presidential election. It is clear as day that we’re in trouble and I’d hope whoever wins between them surprises me and Nigerians pleasantly but the hope is slim. You need a solid party structure to win elections in Nigeria, one of these two will emerge as president and that is on God! I understand many of us believe in t...

Dele Momodu sent to the reserves by Captain Wike...

Image
Governor Nyesom Wike destroyed Dele Momodu in an interview on Thursday, is there any comeback move for Davido's boy? (Photo credit: Google) In the midst of the fast and furious work pressure, I caught wind of the comedy show going on within the Nigerian political scene, omo! This has to be the most interesting time even to learn about Nigerian politics. Did you hear about Peter Obi’s resignation from PDP? I’m hearing the former PDP hopeful has joined Labor party on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee; the transfer window is in full swing in the Nigerian politics league, I’ll be your Fabrizio Romano. Rumor has it that former Niger-Delta super star, Goodluck Jonathan has secretly signed for APC; the first attempt failed at the medical level with many people reporting that the form he claimed was bought for him by some Fulani folks wasn’t entirely true. It’s crazy how this man that a lot of Nigerians nurse sympathy for, managed to ruin his own stock by flirting with APC. ...

2023 Presidential Election: APC just dey disguise

Image
You think these lots are at loggerheads? I don't think so but a good number of the guys in this picture have purchased the 100m form. Bloody comedians. (Photo credit: Naija Pundits) After I saw the pictures of the APC galacticos at their party convention few days ago, I knew these lots were whining us all these while; they know what they’re doing and we should not fall for it. I wrote about the folks I’m never wasting my vote on, this is a sequel to that post. This is about the ongoing drama in the APC party and my conviction that it is all a game to confuse everyone and deflect attention from their main candidate. I will throw my two hands in the air and accept defeat if it comes out to be the other way round but I don’t think Tinubu wants to run for presidency. I can understand he has spent so much money and his followers are hell bent on imposing him on us but I don’t think that nigga wants to run. Then the issue of 100m for declaration of interest form, isn’t it a joke ...

Shameless hungry ex-internationals seek daily bread at Tinubu's doorsteps

Image
Look at Aghahowa looking like a yahoo boy, foolish hungry lots. (Photo credit: One whatsapp group) I’d finished posting my write up for yesterday before I saw a video of some ex-internationals that I once idolized, earning their brown envelopes in a supposed show of support for the presidential ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu… Make no mistakes, I have absolutely nothing against Tinubu’s presidential bid. He is more than qualified to test his popularity up there and if he indeed decides to go all the way with this and wins the APC ticket, good luck to him, but the actions of those ex-players in the video I saw needs questioning. As I have always posited, no one has to agree with my takes, that’s why there’s a comment section for you to bare your minds, I understand there’s a place of free will but the actions of those players spoke of hunger, not passion or anything else. In case you haven’t seen it, former players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria went to Bourdillon to meet with...
