I hate working from home

Image
I'm popping pills like a member of Felipe Lobos' cartel but even the sun has a sinking spell... I'll be back. (Photo credit: Google) This is going to be all over the place, you’re free to draw any type of conclusions you like and I will understand. I’m not in a good place this minute and, while this is not a rant, it might sound like one and again, I’ll understand your interpretation of the post. I feel a bit lonely, maybe not a bit but it is what it is. I miss the days someone does virtually everything for me in this house LOL, not being able to show up physically at work today annoys me but I’m trying to contribute to the team from my bedroom; fair enough, right? I was going to write about Serena Williams today but after seeing Dipo Ogun’s eulogy, I have to wait it out so that won’t come out yet. I am hungry, I can’t cook to save my life and you can’t bant me with that, it’s a stale gist… Not like I’m proud of that tho. Having to depend on Mimimie Chinchin and ene...

June 3rd... World Tiwalade Day

Image
Happy birthday my favorite human. Live long and prosper. (Photo credit: Rambo's iPhone) Today is emotionally celebratory, you too see. It’s Tiwalade’s birthday today, and it’s not how I’d have loved to celebrate it, trust me, it should be a public holiday for me, but I’m ill, and I have to manage certain situations. There are certain people you meet, and you click; there are instances where you need to integrate slowly, and there are other instances where you may have to disagree to see individual values; my story with this woman wasn’t any of that. I’ve lost count of the number of people that have wondered why I never wrote about her on my blog; it’s not exactly their business, but here’s something about her. We all have that special person that brings peace to us, and this woman is one of those for me. I’m gradually becoming the chief bachelor of Lagos, not quite there by the standards some have set, but if there’s ever a reason I might never get married, this woman is top of t...

Three things I will never buy (again)

Image
I can't invest my money in Water Dispenser, it's a waste of time but that's not the only item I don't fancy. (Photo credit: Google) I know some inventions are meant to make our lives easier but no matter how much I try, I just don’t get along with some and I have decided to talk about them today. Trust me you’ll look at the list and call me weird but remember we’re not all wired the same way so cut me some friendly slacks. I’ve heard someone say she doesn’t like AC, she’d rather a fan that rotates yen yen yen but it’s the power supply situation that makes me consider fan at all because it gives me running nose, this is to show that there are some things you might like that I just might not be able to relate with. There are three items that people fancy that I, Ramsey Abimbola Gold will never invest my money in (again), some I have tried before and one of the three I have clinically avoided; you’d have some ideas of why I don’t like one but you’d be tempted to ques...

I'm tired of vendors... They will frustrate you

Image
Vendors will give you migraine, covid and traumatic feelings in one hit, it's crazy. (Photo credit: Google) Very early on this journey I talked about a laundry man that took my living room curtain and didn’t return it till date, I’m sure I also mentioned some “what I ordered vs what I got” stories in that article, vendors will frustrate you especially if you’re at their mercy, it’s their turn today. I know the place of serious conversations and urgency is being eroded by cruise and bants but irresponsible vendors exist, those that will take your money and not come through, many of these people would even try to blackmail you to thinking it’s your fault, it’s crazy. Imagine a photographer that took 70% down payment to offer service at a wedding today, when called this morning was asking if today is the date, after feigning ignorance of date, he sent a text that he’s in Ibadan yen yen yen, someone’s wedding! I got a new AC for my living room recently. After installation, it w...
