This new year, do you, be more and most importantly, "no gree for failure". Happy New Year from me and my dirty boxers to you and yours. (Photo credit: Google) Hello everyone, it’s my first post in this space this year, and I promise it won’t be the last. I delivered next to nothing here last year on purpose, to be honest, but I’ll do better this year. I wrote a lot last year, more commercial than for personal pleasure. Besides, it was a hell of an emotional year, and I didn’t want to bring my troubles here. I wrote a couple of things at the tail end of the year that I never posted here. LOL, you should read some of them. Okay! We go again in a bit. The holiday is over, and I can’t exactly say I was on holiday because I worked throughout. It is what it is, and we’re happy to do so while we can. I was away, I traveled, and I was happy I touched Ibadan. It was the hardest part of my holiday, as I had to stare at my parents without saying a word. It’s a new year with renewed ...

The day my father passed away...

I hope you're fine at the other end... Sleep on dad. (Photo credit: Ramsey's iPhone) 10 th October 2019, the day I questioned God and everything I knew as a man and as a Christian; the day I wondered if prayers ever work or if nursing faith and hoping on even ever makes sense… It was the day I lost my wildcard, my loving father. I was in the office as early as 6:30am to go through the deck with Kolade one more time and phone beepers went off. It rang a couple of times and I wasn’t going to pick, Kolade nudg...

Happy birthday daddy, sleep on my Gee

I miss you daddy, I hope this gets to you. If it does, say a prayer for me and give me the strength to continue living without your physical presence. (Photo credit: Google) Dear Daddy, I felt you around last night, it felt different from the last time. I guess you were proud of how I handled things recently, I know you looked forward to reading from me all along but bro, it was difficult. I cried like a baby, I enjoyed it because no one was there to interrupt my grief. No one will ever understand what the hole you left means to me, I'm still hurting and I won't pretend like it's fine. My fingers are quaking as I type this but daddy... I will be fine. It’s your birthday today and I honestly don’t know how it works at your end. Do they share cakes or mocktails? Or does the act of Jesus at that famous wedding apply? I mean do they allow wines and red cups? I won’t be surprised if the trumpet thing happened, you really don’t like noise, I hope the stubborn Angel Michael ...
