Remember Sonia? I wrote about her not too long ago, about her “paranoid” mom and hustle; I figured many of you sent her love and light following the embarrassment on Ash Wednesday… Well I’m here to drag her today and she deserves every bit of it, you too see!

Sonia called me earlier this morning to extend her love to me following my difficult Monday, of course, she tried to laugh at me and all like friends do and it’s alright, but she also told me she’s breaking up with Fred – Her boyfriend of two years and her reasons left me wondering if she’s thinking at all.

Fred is a photographer, on the journey to be the next Kelechi Amadi and I’m rooting for him. Fred is sensational with his imagination, he knows how to tell beautiful stories with photography, and with Sonia being a make-up artist, they fit perfectly and I may have to show y’all their works sometime soon.

A mobile telecom brand jumped on the just concluded Social Media Week, Fred worked on the event as a photographer and he had great visuals to represent the brand’s ideas and also to show the happy faces that engaged the brand at the event.

The telecom brand asked to reward the most attractive images from the event and Fred was asked to submit entries; as a professional man, Fred selected the best works and shared with the brand, not forgetting the fact that it was about what would put his best works out there and not sentiments…

Sonia was at the event too, but being a restless human, she didn’t appear in the top pictures. If you know her a bit, you’d know that she’s always everywhere with all the energy but there can also be “coordination” concerns, there was no picture she took that represented what could win.

Sonia learned of the pictures her boyfriend submitted and went berserk, she felt betrayed and couldn’t believe that her competitors appeared in the images while she didn’t. Sonia is an attention whore, she wants to appear on the brand’s IG whether Fred wins or not. Winners were announced and Fred won awards and grants through his works at the event, but Sonia thought he was selfish.

I can’t have opinions on this, don’t forget I’m still healing from being thrown in the middle just two days ago over relationship matters, I am never going to be involved in this, whether directly or indirectly, I’m not doing and it stays that way.

The crux of the matter to Sonia isn’t about whether Fred wins or not, she is just bitter that he submitted his entries without a single picture of hers from the event. Fred only had one job: to compete with the best of his works, in that regard… Was he supposed to jeopardize his chances of winning because of his woman?

I think Sonia is just unnecessarily paranoid, she should put the collective win over personal glory. She just wants to appear on the brand’s digital asset even if the entry doesn’t win, is that good enough? Is this part of the relationship creed?
