Dear November...

I was supposed to write you a welcome note yesterday but you sef answer yourself, was that a good start? I fotgive you and I expect the best from you. Thank you and welcome. (Photo credit: Google)

Dear November,
I can understand why most people don’t rate you. You’re like Thursday and people just want to jump to Friday from Wednesday, they hate that they have to endure you before their shenanigans of the weekend; I rate you highly and I’ll tell you why.

Oh, I’m not patronizing you, you’re not top 5 for me but I am not one of those that don’t rate you. Two of the most important people in my life were born in November – my sisters. I’ll take August, December, April, June, and the joy of new beginnings that January brings over you but again, I don’t dislike you.

Your 2022 coming has started off on a cringe-worthy note. I felt the heat personally with harsh feedback for my team and that’s certainly not how I want to start my month but there’s always another opportunity to impress and change perception so it’s fine.

Dear November, I know how it feels to see people talking about December even while you’re just arriving; I feel you’re used to it and you’re probably numb now. I’m sorry people make plans for your successor and pay little attention to you, but that doesn’t mean you should move mad.

I understand no one can get to December without using your link bridge, you’re equally as important as every other month and I want you to know you’re special. To everyone celebrating their birthdays while you’re around, including my family pastor in Ibadan, you’re the best to them and I hope that makes you happy.

I want you to be nice, not just to me but to everyone around me. I want you to bring good fortune and we’ll forever be grateful to you. Green tickets, blood-free roads, and sound health. I want you to bring clear weather and fresh ideas, these decks won’t do themselves.

Dear November, I know people save up when you’re around so they can ball in December, I know e dey pain but no vex, it is what it is. I like eleven as a number (11) but it’s not my top ten favorite numbers. 14 is number one, but I have a few Arsenal shirts with 11 at the back, so you should know I rate you.

Dear November, bring comfort and not tears. Bring credit alerts and fewer billings; hits and misses are part of why we exist, do me one favor, and bring more hits my way, I don’t want to have stories of misses this month. I am confident you’ll deliver. Thank you and welcome.
