The Level Up season of Big Brother Naija just ended and I must say it was a crazy journey; for us at Riquesa, it was beyond rollercoaster, especially with the team having to come in every day to come up with new tasks LOL. We’re glad our bit turned out well and we’ll happily accept our flowers.

Today I want to take it back a bit to the Lockdown season, remember how a certain Laycon was painted as the most intelligent human alive, and everyone ran with it? While this article is not to shade the BBN Season 5 winner, it’s basically my attempt at teaching us what worked then and what you can learn from it.

First and foremost, I must give it to Scarlett and the rest of the team that worked on Laycon, omo! These people legit sold snow to our Eskimos. They made us believe Laycon was more intelligent than everyone else on the show lol, a set that had Kiddwaya, Prince, Vee, Dorathy, and Tolani Baj. Ah!

From day one, the team realized that their product (Laycon) would never be able to compete with the rest of the housemates on the grounds of looks, they figured that he would never be able to match the energy of the likes of Nengi, Erica and Praise, they quickly switched gears and it worked.

Intelligence was the only thing they could sell, but does Laycon actually have that thing in him? E tey before the thing clear for my eyes and again, I am not shading him but only saluting my fellow strategists that thought out a sensational lie that clothed Laycon as a premium King Solomon… Take your crown guys una try.

On the tasks, I can tell you for free that Laycon won the least individual tasks among the top five so, what are we talking about? Let’s also pretend like we don’t know that he was roundly helped by Erica’s stupidity which earned him public sympathy – his team latched on to that and followed through with a pity story… Masterstroke!

Few other factors worked in Laycon’s favor; Ozo’s foolishness LOL and the fact that Kidd was actually messing with Nengi which affected her as well. This is me celebrating the strategy team, I don’t expect you to see it that way but if you look back and evaluate a bit, your eyes might be clear too.

Okay, let’s even say he was extremely intelligent in the house, what have you made of his music since he came out of the house? Between you, your God, and your conscience, which Laycon song can you listen to right now and you’ll get the same level of goosebumps BBN gave you about him?

Shey we should not lie we should not steal?
