Three special hymns I call my special weapons

| Hymns are soothing and are part of my secret weapons. Now that you know, I'm happy to let you know you can't use them against me. Have fun. (Photo credit: Google of course) |
I wrote about how much I love hymns the other day and many people were shocked. I don’t know what y’all think of me but let me reintroduce myself; I am Ramsey Bimbola Gold and I am a child of God. Okay?
It’s important for me to go back to the hymn conversation and
today, I’ll tell you three more hymns that I find joy in. I know you’ll feel it
better if I sing it for you so, I’m giving y’all the wildcard to call me
anytime from 8pm today and I just might sing my favorite hymns for you.
Hymn 732 is special to me; Jesus I my cross have taken, all to
leave and follow thee, destitute, despis’d ,forsaken, thou from hence my all
shall be… I’m having goosebumps as I’m typing this for many reasons and one of
them is obvious… My father’s death.
When things don’t go my way and I feel like hanging things around
God’s neck, I sing this hymn and it makes me feel better. It’s a song of strong
faith and it sometimes make me feel guilty; the rhythm is soothing and the
content is magical… You should listen to it but forget, the Yoruba version is
dope.
Hymn 884 is another hymn of faith. I love this hymn pieces and it
probably goes back to 2015. I think I can say it was Roma that made me fall in
love with this song – She led the song at the church’s edition of service of
hymns for that year, it was heavenly and I still feel something whenever I sing
the song.
Jesus is all the world to me, my life, my joy, my all… This
English version isn’t doing justice and I’m not proficient with Yoruba typing
so if you wanna hear the sleek version, you gotta call me. Choose the time to
call though, I’m busier than third mainland bridge right now.
The third and final hymn I want to write about today is the ever
assuring, ever reliable, ever dependable hymn 626… Through the love of God our
savior, all will be well. If you ever trust in God, this song should be your
go-to whenever life is happening to you.
I don’t need to say too much, the lyrics will tell you all that
you need to know about the song. All I can say is, through the love of God my
savior, all will be well. When stars are refusing to align and it seems like
you’re crumbling to your feet, let hymn 626 remind you of God’s love. Thank me
later.
