Life is cruel... A tale of a lost boy

This image explains how unfair life can be and I hope you can interpret it as you desire. (Photo credit: Timini's status)

I caught wind of this disturbing story earlier today and honestly; I wish I didn’t. I don’t know what I was looking for that took me to Paul’s story, we had a chat about it and he was disposed to me sharing; these things happen actually, only those that are affected know.

Many of us at one point or the other may have felt cheated by paying for sins we didn't commit, like having to bear a burden that is not our fault or whatnot, this story is a classic example of such unfair scenario and I just hope the victim here finds solace somehow somewhere.

There’s this young man of about 20 years of age, he has always been troubled about how horrible his father treats him and no one has been able to explain to him in that regard including his mother that tells him the father only scolds him the hardest simply because he loves him.

Just to be clear, the boy is the first child and he’s a university student. He has two siblings and the father never for once treats them the way he treats the boy; although, the man is a military officer but, he’s such a loving and caring father to the other children.

The maltreatment the boy suffers comes in all forms; from physical to mental. He is a punching tool at the slightest provocation and he obviously also pays for what others do, he is constantly reminded that he can’t amount to anything good in life and he can as well not try.

This sort of situation only has one end result; the boy’s self esteem will never remain intact and by extension, chances of him being a terrible father are quite high. Despite how difficult I was to manage as a little boy, my father was never like this and makes me wonder how some fathers choose this route.

The poor boy was cleaning his mother’s closet one day while the father was away on military duties, he stumbled on a diary that revealed to him that the whole pain he’s been suffering was as a result of his mother’s deeds twenty years ago.

Apparently, while the mother was planning to get married to the military man in this story, she had a “one last time” escapade with her supposed ex and the result was the boy. The military man found out when the little boy needed blood as a child and blood type didn’t match. The woman confessed and the man claimed to have forgiven her.

Instead, he decided to heap the anger on the boy even when the boy knows absolutely nothing about the whole thing. The boy returned to school that same day and the story took a horrible turn from there; the military man called him two days later and told him never to return to his house again…

To be continued…
