There will always be days you feel better days won’t come; you stare into the telescope and you can’t see help in sight… No one is near to answer your questions and you’re beginning to lose it, I’m here to tell you it’s normal and you’re probably not going crazy. E dey happen.

I see your efforts at work and in your family. Your line manager probably doesn’t appreciate you or your clients keep moving mad; no one goes on the microphone to applaud you when you get it right but they’re always off to the press to amplify your errors… E dey happen.

Oh, you want to change jobs and no one is responding to your CVs? Or you’re even out of job and it’s beginning to impact your brain cells; bills will always remind you that Jesus is not a Chelsea fan and you’re almost close to forgetting the son of whom you are… E dey happen.

You’re probably in the category of those battling one ailment or the other, sometimes it’s like you’re the only one competing with Job in the Bible but what you should also know is that there’s always one person that has it worse than yours… Your question is “why must it be you?” E dey happen.

Lol I’m sure you’re not the one owing people and, it’s not even your fault. I won’t tell you Nigeria is owing, I think that’s irresponsible comparison and as you work hard and put your creditors in mind, solution isn’t far away but if you slip into depression because Branch is calling your contacts, is it worth it las las?

See, things happen my G; I’m here to encourage you again, stay strong and keep trying. I am not even in the best place at the moment but don’t you think you need to rest your limbs? Where are you running to? Relax my sister, I am praying for you and I’m hoping you don’t stop trying. E dey happen.

One hellish year and my one and half legs

This has been like a home recently but, the goal is to get stronger when it gets tougher. I'm fighting to win. (Photo credit: Ramsey's iPhone) I remember promising Bukky (formerly the Peridot of BR, now the Peridot of UK) that I'd write a lot this month; it definitely won’t be every day like I did last year, but I’ll try, and here you go. To start with, it’s been a tough year by all standards. Not sure there’s ever a year in which I felt half as much physical pain as this year; 2019 had the inglorious award until 2023 pulled up, and here’s me hoping I’ll never have to see a more painful year than this one. The past three weeks have been the toughest. I spent more days with the physiotherapists than at work, but I am probably the strongest human I know.
