Double-faced Mercy drives everyone bunkers

I spoke with Kene about two hours ago and he gave me the greenlight to share his sister’s story. This will come ahead of the other one I planned on sharing today before but this answers to your thirst too, albeit in a way that could probably break you down a bit.

Kene is a family friend, his father passed away in 2020 and his death was very well linked to the infamous Corona Virus that ravaged the world two years ago now. Kene and his sister Mercy went to school abroad; Kene is a lot like me but his sister is the supposed opposite.

Kene is fun loving, life of the party and your sure plug for everything fun. Kene doesn’t smoke even though his people never believed him; he has lots of smokers around and he’s always using vape so you’ll be justified to disbelieve him.

On the other hand, Mercy is 26 and almost a decade younger than her brother. She’s your classic Christian sister, doesn’t use jewelry despite their parents’ wealth and never goes out. Brilliant to a fault, doesn’t use IG and her Twitter is only for retweets of gospel content.

Kene and Mercy got back from UK where they went for Masters early last year and while Kene works with MTN, Mercy works in their father’s real estate firm as a principal officer. Her routine is straightforward; work – church – home… Nothing more.

Sometime in April, Mercy was hospitalized and after series of tests, she was said to be pregnant and that was the least of the problem; she had lost the pregnancy and the complications arising from that nearly took her life and no one could explain the revelations that followed.

Mercy lost the pregnancy due to the amount of strange substances she was taking, cutting the crap to the basics, Mercy – the Christian sister was abusing drugs like there’s no tomorrow and she didn’t start overnight; in fact, Mercy had been abusing drugs for about ten years and no one had any inkling.

While her mom was all about praying against the affliction of the devil and threatening to sue the hospital for releasing fake results, Mercy was unapologetic and wouldn’t even talk to anyone but in all honesty, I wished she didn’t because her confession sent her mother to coma.

Three guys were fingered in the pregnancy story and guess what? All of them are people you wouldn’t ever expect to say a word to Mercy in this life let alone having her digits; pure trenches boys that smoke weed under the bridge or in abandoned buildings, no one has recovered since…

    Can we stop labelling people that choose not to wear earrings and all as christian sisters. She was placed on a pedestal she got tired of and couldn't live up to.... I pray she recovers fully and choose to live life expressing her true self and not the person family and society choose for her.
