Dear June,

Welcome, good to see you. Last time you came around, I won a Ballon d’Or, it was surreal and I still bask in the Euphoria till date, will you take a cue from last time around and be nice too?

I have lots of expectations from you and I know you won't let me down. I have prepared for you and it's time for you to deliver. I know you're excited to be here, you were pissed that May had 31 days so you had to wait an extra day but it's okay... In your best interest, please be nice.

Oh, let me tell you about the runner that handed the baton to you; May was full of different events and I enjoyed most of them. Asa concert was lit, AMVCA came with lots of lessons and also, it gave goose bumps to see our ideas in flesh and blood.

Okay, May came with clients’ complains too. Maybe that’s something we can’t get tired of but dear June, be a lot nicer so I can write to you again next time you come around, don’t move mad dear, let’s maintain this friendship… Right?

Let’s have a conversation, dear June; I know you have ears and you come correct often, I want sound health and answered prayers. I want everything to be soft this month, I don’t want any form of stress, I don’t want to have any use for my pressure (stress) ball, are we good?

Come to think of it, you kinda have beautiful girls o, I’ll give that to you. If this letter gets to you, know I’m welcoming you with all the enthusiasm and confidence that you’ll come good, please don’t give me reasons to say you’re too slow.

Wait, 3rd is just around the corner… That’s Tiwalade’s birthday, here’s what I need you to do for me… never mind, I’ll fix that myself. You have just one job dear June, bring me peace, priceless peace. Give me the sun at its time and the rain when it’s needed.

As soon as you settle in, visit hospitals and breathe into the sick. Visit the broke and offer them some hope, for everyone that wants a child, bless them with the seed that will become a fruitful forest, and for everyone that is nice to me, including Edidiong that makes my coffee every day, be nice to them too.

If you need anything dear June, ask the bloody delegates; they’re the ones that cashed out recently. Enjoy your stay and don’t be rude. See you around.

17th May, 2023 - My darkest hours

One year after her passing, nothing has changed, I still feel pains and, I still have a lot of unanswered questions but, Valar Morghulis - All men must die. (Photo credit: Ramsey's iPhone) Yea, it's been one year already, and nothing has changed. I still feel as much pain as I did exactly one year ago, when the darkest of clouds usurped me. When the earth received my mother's body, it still hurts. I’ve tried many times to do this, but it is what it is. What a year it has been. There was no inkling before it happened, so there is no benchmark. However, it’s a different kind of pain, one I don’t wish on anyone. The 17th of May 2023 will forever remain where it is; hopefully, it remains the darkest ever until my dying day. The mood was obvious; Deepsea could tell in the car.
