Love is cheaper...

People are going through a lot, the least you can do is to plant smiles on people’s faces and not make their bad situation worse; most times, it’s not as hard as we make “being nice” seem, all we need to do is to try, trust me it won’t hurt.

There’s so much value in appreciating what someone does. I know someone will say “I can’t lie to you if your job is not good enough”, I am convinced that there’s always something to appreciate about something, if not for the color, it would be for the fragrance or the size, look for the silver lining, not the dark clouds.

People are trying, you just don’t see it. That vulcanizer that you call dirty, that bike man that now needs to learn another hustle or dare law enforcement agents on the highway after the ban; the NEPA official you curse because he’s doing his job or the bus conductor that you judged because think you’re better off…

You have no idea how much your smile would mean to someone who needs love, some word of encouragement or show of support would help people deal with depression. I have seen enough to know the ground isn’t level everywhere but love is a common ground.

Some take pride in being able to give people attitude and I wonder if they ever thought there’s a medal for it. The message today is clear and simple: Show some love, smile more, listen more, be a little more tolerant and be less judgmental. Thank you.
