Hello and welcome to day 92, if this is your first time of reading from me, I’ve been on a journey and you might want to check out older posts, I’m sure there would be one or two you’d find interesting.
I’m actually
busier than third mainland bridge right now but I have to pen something, I
honestly don’t have a topic planned today, trust me I hardly do and it’s
usually a go-with-the-flow thing, that takes pressure off me in a way but it’s
not sustainable, or is it?
The World Cup
draw was held yesterday, Nigeria will not be participating as we managed to
bottle the qualifiers against Ghana right on our own soil, I can’t even
pretend, I’m still feeling pains from that horrible showing, it would hurt more
when the tournament starts and our national anthem isn’t on the playlist.
So, Davido is
on the official World Cup anthem, at least one of our own is representing us,
this adds credence to what I’ve always said about the guy, he works so hard and
he makes his own luck, it must be a tough weekend for Wizkid stans.
You know
where I stand on that, don’t you? I’m a big fan of the two and I just can’t
choose one no matter what the context is, like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel
Messi, the two of them have paid their dues and we should be grateful for
having two kings to enjoy at the same time.
Tomorrow is
the recording of another Music, Movies and Sports podcast with Dipo Ogun and
the gang, I’m trying to prepare ahead while also trying to make sure I turn out
a document that has a Monday deadline, it’s Saturday afternoon, you know
premier league is on TV, what can a man do?
Welcome again
April, looks like half of the people I know have their birthdays in this month,
from Osasumwen, to Damola of Ontario, to Omamereme and lots more but the one
that strikes more has to be the late Fathi Omar, I should write about that guy
someday.
I’m not
staying long here today, but I must mention the fact that a few people have
started writing journey because of this space that I started on the 1st
of January, it’s heartwarming that I’ve been able to inspire a couple of people
to tell their story through a space as this.
It’s not
going to be easy, there would be days you won’t find motivation, there would be
days like today when you have to join different bits to make sense, just keep
going and don’t stop, you have no idea of how many people are watching, that’s
enough aspire to expire.
Enjoy your
weekend folks and see y’all tomorrow, I’ll be telling you about a nurse in
Igbobi that advised me to have my ankles ripped off just because she didn’t
have an answer to my recurring ankle problems, it was a very difficult period
for me, I’ll share tomorrow.
We move
